Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with a series of ribbing quips about sexuality and racial identification. Before expanding into Hollywood her music, she came out with a series of rap tracks. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her very first musical experience. She performed on the trumpet. Then, she started hip-hop and classical training. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. Then, she even had a short time studying Mandarin while in Beijing. It wasn't until after graduating that she shifted her focus towards music. After making headlines via the Internet Her My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her first album Yellow Ranger. The album included other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$1. It was also included in the Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. After establishing herself as a performer and author She chose to assume the roles of actor. She's appeared in movies like Neighbors 2 Storks, and Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in 2018 with a few prominent films, like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
